From a Personal Journey to a Beloved Brand

Golden Bites was born out of a challenging period in the life of Renata Bertrand in mid-2019, when she was facing postpartum struggles and discovered cooking as a therapeutic way to aid her recovery. In just a few months, her passion for the culinary arts blossomed into a business primarily serving the Brazilian community in Cork. Rapid growth soon caught the attention of investors and other entrepreneurs.

Within about two years, Renata and her life and business partner, Patrick Bertrand, were nominated among the Top 3 Best New Businesses in Cork by the Cork Business Association, operating at the time under the name “Mr. Coxinha.” Eager to reach a broader local audience, the brand underwent a redesign and reemerged as Golden Bites, preserving its dedication to quality and care but now at a larger scale and with a stronger visual identity.

Today, Golden Bites boasts a devoted team that upholds high standards of product quality and customer service. We believe finger food should not only be convenient but also creative, flavorful, and fitting for any occasion—whether it’s a quick snack on a busy day or an appetizer at a festive event. Backed by youthful energy and fresh ideas, we aim to make a memorable impact on the Irish market.
